Open Gardens Victoria is proud to offer Coriyule as the first garden opening of the Spring 2017 season.

Built in 1849, Coriyule is the oldest structure on the Bellarine Peninsula and is one of the earliest and finest homesteads in Victoria. The house is architecturally significant and was built in the picturesque Gothic Revival style, which was not common in Victoria, particularly in country areas. The house overlooks Corio Bay, and is an important early work of the celebrated colonial architect Charles Laing.

Coriyule was listed on the Victorian Heritage Register in 1974.

The current owners have undertaken extensive conservation and restoration works to the homestead, and have developed stunning landscape surrounds.

Special offer

Visitors to Coriyule can use their ticket to receive a discounted $10 entry to see the 'Fred Williams in the You Yangs' exhibition at the nearby Geelong Art Gallery. You will be able to compare the Williams paintings with the wonderful views of the You Yangs enroute to Coriyule.
