Opening beautiful gardens across Victoria

Open Gardens Victoria

Our mission is to inspire more people to embrace gardens and gardening as an active ingredient in a good life and a greener community.

Upcoming garden openings and events

Visit our gardens this autumn

Have you noticed the changing of the autumn leaves or witnessed autumn in surrounding garden areas or public gardens

A man squatting in a garden, tending to green climbing plants supported by a wire fence. He is smiling, wearing a hat, glasses, a gray T-shirt, shorts, sneakers, and red socks. The garden has a wooden fence background, with yellow flowers in the foreground and other small plants along the soil bed.

We give back to the sector

Our Giving Program has provided funding to community organisations, schools and emerging landscape designers to support the long-term sustainability of the horticulture sector.

We are a volunteer-run organisation

Our garden openings and events are run by volunteers. If you’re keen to get involved, there are many ways to volunteer with OGV.

“Building the feature garden at the show as part of OGV's stand has been a career highlight for me. The opportunity to bring Solara to life as I imagined it was very rewarding. Seeing so many visitors connect with the garden in different ways, is what will stay with me. Having the support of OGV and the gardens' sponsors made the build an unforgettable experience.”
