Our 2025 Giving Program recipients
We're thrilled to announce five new Giving Program recipients for the 2024/25 year. Each will receive funding from us to use for the projects listed below. We can't wait to see the progression of these exciting innovations!
Erasmus Primary School
Evergreen - Growing Charity
This regional primary school will use the funds for an organic, sustainable vegetable garden and orchard, producing fresh produce for students, with some being used for the school kitchen. The charity garden will be used by two local schools.
Saltbush Balnarring Beach
Australian Native Garden Project
Saltbush Balnarring Beach has created housing for vulnerable and disadvantaged people, housing 1,896 guests in 2023/24. The tranquil native garden will enhance the garden surrounding these houses.
Heathcote Dementia Alliance
The Healing Garden: Grown with First Nations Wisdom
Heathcote Dementia Alliance, in conjunction with Bendigo and District Indigenous Cooperative, will co-design and develop this garden to include community members, Indigenous locals and young people. The space will be used for education, storytelling, healing and include volunteers, schools, community leaders and visitors.
Bass Coast Landcare Network
Bushfoods and Butterflies at the River Garden
River Garden is a one-hectare community demonstration and education site on public land in Bass. This funding will help to upgrade their bushfoods and butterfly area as a functional garden and demonstration site for local community and children.
Heartscapes
Melbourne Pollinator Corridor
This funding will help Heartscapes create two new Melbourne Pollinator Corridors, increasing the impact they have on local communities of humans, fauna, flora and fungi. It will be planted out with mainly indigenous plants that have great chance of surviving and will support native pollinating insects.
