We’re thrilled to announce that Rachael Saulle is the winner of the 2026 Open Gardens Victoria Student and Emerging Designers grant. Rachael is an emerging designer and graduate of London College of Garden Design (Melbourne). Rachael will be provided with $10,000 to design and install her immersive garden, called Solara, at our stand at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show (MIFGS), 25 to 29 March 2026.

Rachael’s garden will feature a timber pergola and a winding gravel path that encourages visitors to slow down and immerse themselves in the garden. Designed for a sunny site, the garden will contain water-wise, drought-tolerant planting inspired by Australian natives and Mediterranean species, with plants chosen to attract pollinators.
