This is a wonderful, mature, rambling garden on granitic soil where granite boulders enhance the space.
The owner has built on the foundation of previous owners and increased the size and beauty of the garden.
Since the garden is hilly and has several old gums and exotics, the planting ranges from large border plantings, shade area plantings like Hydrangeas and drought tolerant plants in more open areas.
A sizable orchard produces avocadoes, citrus and other fruits and is growing vigorously. This is a happy spot for the bonsai.
There’s an amazing cool fernery with seating which is a lovely area to ponder.
There will be Bonsai plants for sale at this opening.
Granite Garden is located on the lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung People. Open Gardens Victoria wishes to acknowledge the Traditional custodians of this land, and we pay respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
