The expansive 10 acre garden is set in a natural amphitheatre providing vistas of contrasting foliage shapes, colours, tones and textures of the established Oaks, Elms, Beech, Birch, Maples, Magnolias, conifers and Native trees.
Numerous paths meander beneath the canopy to expose a diverse range of exotic and native shrubs, perennials and bulbs with rare, interesting, unusual or unique specimens revealed around every corner.
There are two acres of succulents, cacti, native trees and shrubs, grasses and other hardy drought and heat tolerant plants.
Proteas, Leucadendrons, Waratahs and other proteacea also feature throughout the gardens.
There will be plant sales at this opening and tea and coffee. Some of the proceeds from this opening will be donated to the SES.
Telopea Garden is located on the lands of the Bunurong People. Open Gardens Victoria wish to acknowledge the Traditional custodians of this land and we pay respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
