Finch’s Nest

  • 11 Mahogany Court, Drouin Vic 3818 (map)

Finch's Nest is a tranquil garden nestled at the end of a quiet court. The original landscaping is 35 years old, with many fine specimen trees dating back to that time.

An established blue spruce, luculia, weeping birch, and many camellias have been retained from the original planting. But it is what the owners have accomplished in their relatively short tenure, that makes the garden a plant lover's dream, filling every gap with interesting, garden worthy plants: spectacular grevilleas, unusual perennials, sasanqua camelias, azaleas, rhododendrons, all of which thrive in the fine Gippsland soil.

The emerging specimen trees such as Brachychitons and a Gingko emerge from the shrubberies. There is also a small planting of roses and a highly productive, small vegetable garden and some fruit trees.

There will be a coffee van at this opening.

Open Gardens Victoria wish to acknowledge the Traditional custodians of this land and we pay respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
