Twilight at Sunnymeade — Relax in the garden. Enjoy a glass of wine, curated music, and a few selected read reflections. All without the crowd.
Enjoy a more intimate twilight experience in Peter and Simone Shaw’s garden, Sunnymeade—a coastal Anglesea landscape known for its sculptural messmate gums, sweeping grassy mounds, and carefully curated native plantings that sit gently within the surrounding bushland.
Before the gates open to the public over the weekend, wander the garden’s winding paths as evening light softens the garden and the last colours of the sky settle behind the stringybarks.
Garden lighting will gradually take over as dusk arrives, highlighting textures, forms, and the subtle contrasts between clipped coastal shrubs and the loose, wild movement of grasses.
A Few Fire pits will be lit throughout the garden, offering warmth and places to gather.
Throughout the evening, you’ll enjoy:
· A complimentary glass of wine
· Light food served informally as you explore
· Curated music that blends quietly into the atmosphere
· A handful of short themed readings, shared in the garden
This event is designed to be welcoming, whether you come with friends or on your own—there’s space for conversation, meeting new people, or simply settling into a peaceful corner and taking it all in.
This is a rare chance to experience Sunnymeade at its most tranquil: unhurried, glowing, and gently alive as day shifts into night.
Warm clothing is recommended depending on the forecast.
